ATF friction modifiers must allow the torque converter clutch to slip controllably without sticking

The Anti-Shudder Durability (ASD) test measures the ability of an ATF to maintain performance over time

  • Test run at three temperatures with two sliding speeds
  • Toyota T-111 performance is used as the JASO minimum reference
