I replaced the steering box and lines in our ;02 Grand Cherokee, but not the power steering pump. I did flush the pump and installed a filter. The pump is much quieter than before. Judging by my previous experience with Royal Purple products, I’d give the power steering fluid at least half the credit.

I drained my steering fluid when putting heads and cams in. I use RP gear oil, Motor oil, Max tuff assembly lube and coolant additive. I figured what the heck. The steering actually felt a little smoother! I Highly recommend if u happen to need powal steering fluid.

This is a really good product because it actually works, I’ve run my ford with this fluid mixed with Motorcraft Mercon V for 50,000 miles now I just replace the PS fluid again and I gotta tell you, the system looks clean, and the fluid looked like it wasn’t used. Now this vehicle is use for police duty so it idles for long period of time and pretty much is on for 12 to 15 hours a day. I feel this product does a good job when it comes to protection.

I put RP power steering fluid in my power steering pump since I was flushing it anyways and it had a whine to it After I added RP power steering fluid the whine went away. Great stuff

Tend to squeal just a little bit when I used all three units simultaneous. While this is rare, it was still on the back of my head. Upon changing to this type of fluid, I no longer have any squealing from the pump anymore. I feel better knowing I have a reliable product flowing through the “blood-lines” of the power steering pump as well!

I used this in a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland after removing the hydraulic cooling fan and converting everything over to 99 spec with electric fan. I like the fact that this actually is purple so if i have a leak down the road I don’t have to question if it’s transmission or power steering fluid. Also seems to be extreme quiet compared to past experiences with other fluid. Absolutely silent. Ill definitely be using this as my go to power steering fluid from here on out.
